Malashock Dance School: Contemporary/Modern

Contemporary is an up and coming style of dance that incorporates the

principles and techniques of modern dance including use of breath, proper

alignment, centering, contraction and release, and fl oor work, as well as the

emotion and story-telling of lyrical jazz. Student are encouraged to take class

on both days in order to gain the strength and fl exibility needed to perform

this type of dance. Ages 10–14
