The grid technique is a method used to create accurate, proportional drawings from photographs. Used by many portrait artists such as Van Gogh, Da Vinci and Albrecht Dürer, it can actually help you improve your observation skills. And improving your observation skills will result in improved drawing skills. By placing a grid on your image and having the same grid pattern on your paper, you transfer the image using the squares as reference. Materials list provided upon registration
