Globe Trot with the Arts! Camp - July 24-28
Join Bravo School of Art and Theatre Arts School of San Diego for this exciting, fun-filled week of creativity, imagination and unique experiences as campers travel around the world through the Visual and Performing Arts! Each morning, campers will embark on a theatrical adventure as they explore different areas of the theatre such as acting, improvisation, mask work, puppetry, stage makeup and more! Travel from the Kabuki theatre in Japan to Italy’s Commedia dell’arte to Shakepeare’s Globe Theatre. After an hour of supervised lunch and outdoor playtime in the park, head over to Bravo School of Art’s studio / classroom to continue the creative globe trotting. Visit the American Southwest, France and Italy, Africa and more with hands-on projects that may include mask making, shadow puppets, weaving, mosaic, drawing and painting and more.

Dream Big! Visual & Performing Arts Camp - July 15-19
Bravo School of Art and Theatre Arts School of San Diego collaborate to create a unique and all-encompassing creative experience for kids. Each morning, campers will engage in fun-filled theatre games and activities. They will DREAM BIG as they create characters, improvise and write scenes, and develop short one-act plays. After an hour of supervised lunch and outdoor playtime in the park, head over to Bravo School of Art’s studio / classroom to continue the creative journey. Your young artist will learn about the art of Van Gogh, Picasso, Matisse, Klimt and Chagall. Their imaginations will be stimulated by their own interpretation of each master’s work as they explore each style of art. Campers will create their own artwork using hands-on techniques inspired by the master’s art. Using color pencils, watercolors, oil pastels, colored paper, paper mache, etc. projects may be drawing, painting, printmaking, paper craft, sculpture and more.

Act! Sing! Dance! Camp! - July 8-12
Students will experience all three facets of musical theatre each day in this exciting camp! Every morning will begin with a dance class (appropriate for all levels) which will teach choreography inspired by Broadway’s finest choreographers. Then, students will learn scenes and songs from some of the most beloved Broadway musicals. Led by TAS+SD Director, Courtney Corey, who has had a successful career as a stage actor in such hit Broadway shows as WICKED and RENT, students are taught by a real industry professional! On the last day of camp, students will have an opportunity to share what they have learned with friends and family.

“HANABI” Production & Performance Camp - August 5-11
Inspired by the annual summer fireworks celebrations throughout Japan, “HANABI” is a multi-sensory theatrical experience which will take place at the NTC Promenade. Students will take part in each aspect of this production. Each wonder-filled day will involve students in the creative process as they write, design, build, and perform this production. “HANABI” will tell the tale of a modern day child transported into a mystical world resembling Japan during the Edo period. All props and costumes will be illuminated with various LED lights and glowing effects. Set against the night sky of San Diego, this is an experience not to be missed!

Broadway Boot Camp - August 12-16
Perfect for the teen who loves Broadway! Students will learn the nuts and bolts to a successful career as a Broadway actor. Each day, they will partake in the many elements of musical theatre: scene work and cold reading, choreography and dance technique, singing foundations and audition preparation. Students will learn how to refine their resume, choose appropriate music and monologues, and represent themselves as confident, exciting, and well-prepared performers. Led by TAS+SD Director, Courtney Corey, who has had a successful career as a stage actor in such hit Broadway shows as WICKED and RENT, this camp will provide relevant and important training for the dedicated musical theatre performer.

World Beat Camp at The Malashock Dance School - August 19-23
World Beat Camp at The Malashock Dance School Campers will virtually travel around the world in 5 days! Learn about different cultures through fun-filled dance, art and theater activities. Create and learn about dance, art, and culture in a vibrant, safe, and positive learning environment!

Li'l Rockers Camp
FINALLY, a rock experience for the li'l ones! We'll have them rockin', rollin', movin' and groovin' all the way through the week and right into a lunchtime performance on Friday! And of course, some scavenger hunts, outdoor playtime, crafts, and a whole lot of singin' and dancin' too!

RMC's Rock Band Camps are specially created by our outstanding educators to foster the interest and love of pop/rock/rap music in the early grades while addressing their age-appropriate needs. Singing, dancing, rapping, and making music are part of every day, right along with instruction on high quality instruments (pianos, guitars, and drumsets). It's everything you hope for in a rock band experience PLUS all the extras for building summer camp memories.

Summer Dance Workshop in Modern Dance - July 29 to August 10
Jean Isaacs hosts her 41st Summer Dance Workshop. Train this summer with San Diego Dance Theater, learning the technique of Jean Isaacs and San Diego Dance Theater company repertory. Our Summer Workshops are the portal to professional Modern Dance in the region. Work with guest artist Pablo Francisco Ruvalcaba from the Limon Dance Company, as well as SDDT company dancers.
